Applications for Skilled Worker Stream can be submitted all throughout the year. Qualified candidates and employers in Yukon are required to jointly arrange a complete application for the stream. To qualify for the Critical Impact Worker Stream, candidates need a permanent and full-time employment offer from an employer in Yukon. The offer of the job must be for a position at skill level D or C in NOC – National Occupational Classification.
The employer has to prove that realistic efforts were put forth for recruiting a Canadian for filling the job vacancy before offering the employment to an overseas national. They must also fulfill distinct requirements for advertising the position. It includes the job opening for a minimum of 4 weeks in a minimum of 2 local and 1 national platforms for recruitment.
Yukon Business Nominee
The Yukon Territory is looking for candidates who possess demonstrated business and entrepreneurial skills for operating their own businesses to boost its economy. Applicants of the Business Nominee Program must intend to own and run a business in Yukon.
The Business Nominee stream of the Yukon Nominee Program offers Canada Permanent Residency options to eligible overseas entrepreneurs. The candidates must have entrepreneurial and business experience and interest to own and operate a business in the Yukon Territory. They must also fulfill specified requirements for the stream and possess a net worth of at least CAD 500,000.
Candidates who receive a nomination from Yukon are offered a support letter to apply for a 2-year Work Permit with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada. They can reside in Yukon with this Work Permit and establish their business and themselves in Yukon. After the period of 2 years, candidates who fulfill the eligibility requirements will receive support From Yukon to apply for Canada PR with IRCC.

The Business Nominee Stream of Yukon Nominee Program functions through a system of EOI – Expression of Interest. Candidates who are eligible have to enroll in the program.
